If each of the 3,000 gay couples kicked in a thousand bucks apiece (probably not too tough for them to come up with in an affluent city with decent paying jobs), there'd be three million bucks to hire a very sharp attorney, who'd also like the mega dollars worth of news coverage.

I've had it explained to me that singles spend more time "running around" than marrieds, how does that affect a committed homosexual couple who are no longer hitting the gay bars?
