I saw that, and think it's a huge mistake to let folks tromp through there. Amazing, to me. Also, the family let news media go through. That's why we have photos of the interior of the home. While I am glad we have those, it seems odd for the Police to release the crime scene this fast. Makes me think they know who did it. ? Leastwise I hope that's what it means, instead of they could be as dumb as a box of rocks. :)

Do you think a stranger would be apt to do this, or someone from the community/area?

Yes, the pictures are included in the articles I posted. Probably some more out there somewhere. I'll look in a moment. I'm looking into something. :)

Mr. Hirst wasn't clear about the location of the blood. Just that when his son-in-law (not Richard) called him, he told him to come quickly that blood had been found and it was Rebeccas'. No other lab reports have been leaked, as far as I know.

"Do you think a stranger would be apt to do this, or someone from the community/area?"

It's difficult to speculate on that question.

On the one hand, locals would certainly come to mind first but IF it was a "professional hit" then professionals would naturally "case" the joint first. "Casing a joint" could sometimes take weeks.

Yes, I understand. Do you think, generally speaking, it makes sense to think she removed them to clean up? Makes sense her home was a bit messy due to a sick child, working full time, regular household duties, and found time on a Saturday morning to rake out? We know they were planning on attending the Dixie National Rodeo that Saturday evening. Rebecca had purchased tickets, as a gift to Richard. I don't know. Just seems a likely time, to me, for a working Mom to tend home and hearth on a Saturday morning.

Attention: WOrking Moms, does the above make sense?

Oh Dear. Is that good or bad? What does it mean when they extend the search area? I know they start from the point of the crime, and then circle outward in ever increasing loops.

Have you ever heard of a 'professional hit' taking an entire family?

I've been researching 'family' abductions. They seem few and far between, thank God.

Rebecca was a physical therapist. Wonder if she ever had a problem with one of her patients ?

Maybe someone was watching her, saw husband leave the house early as usual, thought he'd be gone a while. Perhaps Michael's return home startled him and he panicked . If she recognized the person it could explain why there was no sign of a forced entry.

Okay, so we have, based on reports, so far: Blood drops leading from the truck into the home, and into the bedroom. PUT door left open, shell casings inside PUT. Bullet holes in hallway wall, floor. Family member guessing the Police took the sheets from the beds, among other things, fingerprint dust everywhere. No evidence or reports of drug use, domestic violence, or criminal involvement, of any kind, by any family member. Noone was having an affair, that we know of. Ill 4 year old, missing, medicine and breathing treatment machine, left behind. Michael smoked, cigarettes and change left on kitchen counter. Dirty dishes left in kitchen sink and on counter, with Rebecca's wedding rings in plain view on kitchen counter. Guns left in home, undisturbed and unfired.(?) What else?

Could be. Scary, but could be. Do you recall when anyone last talked to Rebecca?

Seems like a physical therapist Patient's would have trouble navigating. :) Unless, it was a prior patient, or one with minor mobility problems. They said that fire department was a mile away from the house. Quite a walk, for an impaired person, but certainly not impossible.

That makes sense, to me, that Richard was disturbed while inside the house, especially since his cigs were on the kitchen counter, along with 3 dollars. Would someone, at gun point, lay down their cigarettes and change? Shessh. When we get the house photos posted, maybe we can better tell where it all started. I wonder if that hallway opens onto the front door. Like here is the front door and bam, it faces the hallway. There was a bullet hole there. If that's the case, someone could have opened the door, and met with an assault. BUT, then Michael would have noticed a bullet hole in his wall, IF he entered by the front door.

Sorry, shoulda said, former patient. Why do we think whoever took them walked up to the house ? Why couldn't he/they have driven there ? If he had a gun he wouldn't have to be too mobile.

It was pretty early Satuirday morning when the neighbor drove by and saw the house and PUT doors open, right ? Like before 8am ?

If the rings were left on the kitchen counter (as you indicated in another post) then I would say, yes, it makes sense that she might have removed them to wash dishes. However, the treatment of one's wedding ring is a very personal issue. Since mine has never left my finger in 22 years, my first thought was, "Maybe she was preparing to leave him." However, I realize that was a personal conclusion based upon my own habits. Not knowing how diligent she was about wearing her rings, I simply don't know what to make of the fact they she wasn't wearing them.

LOL. Sorry, Michael. I meant Michael, not Richard. Must be coffee break time. :)

Last time Rebecca was heard from, her mother-in-law, Diana Hargon spoke to her, via telephone, at 11:30 pm.

Well, our timeline may be tightening up... :) Not sure how accurate this detail is but I just heard that, Diana Hargon said she last saw her son Friday between 8 and 8:30 p.m. at her home. She said she talked to her son's wife on the phone about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

I was basing the 'walked to the house' on the dogs tracking the Families scent to the fire department, located 'about a mile' from the Hargon home. :) The bad guy/s could well have just driven up. It's broad daylight. Who would have the gall to march a family of 3 over hill and dale for a mile, anyway? One of them being a 4 year old. You could maybe control adults, but a child? He would certainly be crying, whimpering, something. I don't know, just makes no sense for these three beautiful people to be gone.
