My niece's first child died about the same time after his birth. She also was offered a termination of pregnancy but chose to have him and hold him and love him.

Too many people treat this like it isn't that big of thing because they didn't have the child long enough to know him and it isn't like losing an older child but it hurts in ways that only they know. Please send them my sympathy and show them a lot of love and compassion for me.
