The High Priest and yes The ROmans, I didnt say every Jew killed Christ but some did join in the humilation from the crowds and the reasoning for Christ not taking his chance for that way out is Because it was to be that christ was crucified he new he was to die for our sins to keep this simple enough. Is it not true Jews dont believe (not all because there are christian jews) That Jesus was not the Son of God for exactly that "not saving himself".

It's actually a more complicated issue. Jewish guilt over Christ can be laid at the feet of Paul who, for various reasons, busted a move on that moment in Christian history.

Jewish sectarianism in that period is a garden of surprises, only now becoming more clear due to the translations of the Dead Sea scrolls and other discoveries. Their world was turned upside down by the two Revolts, and anyhow, the Priesthood was destroyed, never to return.

A mob is mob. Doesn't matter who is in it. So your point is made.

Jesus had no opportunity to save Himself. He had no choice but to answer Pilate as he did. If He did not, it would be a crime against His Father.

Anyway, it was all preordained. That's why it should never be used as a blame issue and that when I die, after I kiss the love of my life where the wild roses bloom and I tell my mother to *&^%$ off, I'm looking for Paul and getting in his face about this.

I'm not kidding. I'm seriously ticked at how "blame the Jews" sullied Western civilization for so damn long.
