People with money to burn may be interested in one of these. The last link has a 150 mw Green text scanner for (only) $9000, but put in a van it could project bright green laser text on a wall a hundred feet away, or could reverse-project onto one of those white tents you see at outdoor events. The folks inside would see your text scrolling across the tent!

Don't monkey around with this idea, laser safety should be the first concern and all local laws and permits attended to for outdoor laser light shows.

There is a HUGE parking garage fairly close to the Fleece Center, I suppose we could sneak up and unfurl some huge-ass banner or other. Also, as a matter of business the Fleece Center always projects either the Celtics' or the Bruins' logo on the outer wall of the building, facing downtown. Sounds like a target to me.

Bostonian, wouldn't it be cool to make a big papier-maché elephant thing like the lions they have in Chinatown on Chinese New Year? I'd love to give those Bread and Puppet hippies a run for their money.

I just wonder how many of the surrounding buildings will be guarded for homeland security reasons. As far as FReepin' goes, this is a very "target-rich environment."

Oh yeah, anyone know how much an airplane banner ad costs? I don't think it's really that expensive.
