I became particularly interested in this matter after reading the book The New Jackals.
The book was written in 1999, pre 9/11, and over half the book is devoted to Ramzi Yousef. The author makes many of the same observations about Yousef meeting Nichols as are made in this article.

Good analysis. Bttt.

It would take me all day to list the things i found wrong with the whole investigation and trials.
Frankly i wish this Ryan Anderson case would wake people up to the fact that an extremist of any stripe can easilly step over the line into the islamic jihad territory.

Considering several well researched books have been written about terrorism in GENERAL and those books (pre 9/11) made mention that Nichols met with Middle Eastern terrorists, I find it interesting that you would call it tinfoil alert time.
What about it is tinfoil in your view? You add nothing to the conversation when you make generalized, dismissive statements like that without any FACTS to back up your FEELINGS.
Feelings are lovely. They aren't facts.
Find as many FACTS to back up your FEELINGS and perhaps I'll pay attention to you.

If you get your FACTS from BOOKS written by conspiracy kooks, heaven help you.
To: Impeach the Boy
You obviously haven't read The New Jackals.
You sound like the kook. As I said, if you have a HANDFUL of FACTS to back up your FEELINGS, I'd love to hear them.

Actually a good many congressinonal hearings seemed to confirm what those CONSPIRACY books have said.

We can't convince those who have obviously made up their minds without actually reading about the subject.
Some people don't want to let the facts get in the way of their opinions.

This is an interesting article that doesn't devolve into conspiracy speculation. I did not know that an Al Quida operative claimed responsibility for the Oklahoma City bombing. Fascinating!
To: Peach
This is an argument against the death penalty. If McVeigh were still alive, we might be able to get some information out of him.

Yes, I agree.
Clinton had the prosecutors rush him to the gas chamber (or whatever method they used) far too quickly. Unfortunate.

Nichols still is.He is on trial in Oklahoma for the murders in the bombing. He is facing the death penalty I would think he could cut a deal to tell all to save his life.

Perhaps someone doesn't want the facts to come out, and he too will meet a very quick, expedited death without the chance to talk.

Nichols had left an estimated $60,000 to $80,000 in cash and goods secreted around Padilla's house and in a nearby storage locker. Note that the article doesn't specify which Padilla this is... Nichol's wife's last name was Padilla. Then there is Jose Padilla. I suppose it can be presumed that the Padilla in the above sentence is Nichol's wife, since it refers to money he is leaving for her... but the article hadn't spelled out that Nichol's wife's last name was Padilla. Also, this paragraph follows the first mention of Jose Padilla in the story...
So it is a little unclear. And if it IS Jose Padilla's house where Nichol's stashed money, then whoa nellie!

It was Lana Padilla. Just a typo which, fixed earlier after being spotted by another reader who emailed me directly. Sorry for the confusion.

I have this VERY bad feeling you are probably right.ANYTHING having to with with the clinton administration seems to be covered up without explanation!
