More than you ever wanted to know:

This seems to be an anti-Edwards site, it's worth bookmarking it -- although it looks like it may be a "Democrats AGAINST Edwards" (I.e. possibly Kerry), but the info is still helpful.

ELECTION '04 PRIMER

Are you a Democrat, considering voting for Edwards? Here are a few facts.
Edwards is the only major candidate who has refused to provide a list of his campaign's major contributors.
Edwards voted AGAINST tax cuts for working Americans, several times (during both the Clinton & Bush years, see below).
Polling in North Carolina has shown that Edwards would NOT beat George W. Bush in his home state. In fact, he would fare no better than Gore, who received 43% of the vote in 2000.
Edwards ran as a moderate in 1998 and after being elected, virtually ignored his constituents, choosing instead to position himself for a run for the presidency by aligning himself with the powerful Left. This is a man driven by his own ambition.
Edwards decries the "special interests," but himself is beholden to the trial lawyers, one of the biggest "special interests" in Washington.
Edwards is not "one of us." He is a very, very wealthy man who profited from the misfortunes of others during his career as a trial lawyer.

John Edwards Responds to 'Junk Science' Allegations

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=%5CCulture%5Carchive%5C200402%5CCUL20040202a.html

Edwards was responding to allegations first reported by CNSNews.com on Jan. 20. The CNSNews.com report noted that a large part of Edwards' legal career was based on "junk science," which allowed him to win hugely lucrative legal judgments or settlements against the medical profession.

I'm a republican who wants a choice in November. Specifically, I don't want a Kerry. I would rather see an Edwards in there rather than Kerry. Of course, I will support GWB (and hoping Cheney drops off the ticket soon).

One thing I agree with is that he is against NAFTA. I was never much in favor of it, and now many of our jobs are going overseas. To INDIA even! I daresay that a person would prefer to have a job first and worry about tax cuts later. I mean, who cares about tax cuts if you can't pay the mortgage?

I appreciate your posting the links. I was looking at the ACU ratings earlier. He is a 12.

Thanks!

merry
