I didn't know Steyn was from Canada; this spelling is usually South African, and besides I thought he lived in New Hampshire.

He's got a wonderful British sounding voice. I assumed he was a Brit living in Canada. Then on Hewitt's radio program he talks about living in New Hampshire. I don't know where he's from. Have to see if I can find a bio on him.

He noted that he's "half Belgian" so maybe the name is Flemish (dialect of Dutch and therefore akin to Afrikaans). I've always had the impression that he's Jewish but he could of course be "all of the above". In any case, IMHO Mark Steyn (who currently resides in New Hampshire) is the best Canadian export since, well, geez, I dunno, I guess he's just the best!
