I don't care about this poll. Bush is winning New Hampshire. It is NOT a liberal state like those around it.
Not so fast. In 2000, NH voted 273,559 (Bush); 266,348 (Gore); 22,188(Nader): and 2,165 (Buchanan). Thank God for Nader.
In 1996, Clinton beat Dole 50% to 40%; in 1992 Clinton beat Bush 38.9% to 37.6%; and in 1988 Bush beat Dukakis 62% to 36%.
The bottom line is that NH is a toss-up state. It has changed since the days of Reagan as more retirees come in from Taxachusetts and the rest of the Northeast. No income tax. A northern Florida. Bush will have to work hard to keep NH in the GOP column.
