Report: Palestinian [terrorist] groups, Islamists plan ''huge'' attacks against Israeli targets

An Arab diplomat in the Jordanian capital is quoted as saying Thursday by al Siyasah newspaper that Palestinian and Islamist groups have decided in a meeting earlier this month to launch huge attacks within Israel and against its interests in Asia, Africa and Mideast countries.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, the scope of the attacks will resemble the latest attacks in Iraq that claimed the lives of hundreds of US soldiers and Iraqis.

It added that the new decision was taken in order to stop growing criticism on the Arab street about their "silence" towards Israeli activities.

The diplomat told the daily that the summit was held in Lebanon and was attended by senior leaders of Al Qaeda, Ansar al Islam, Hizbullah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the two Popular Fronts.

The unordinary meeting was held on February 3-4 in a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon - near Tripoli, and was attended also by officers from the Syrian and Iranian intelligence.

Specifically, the participants decided to target Israeli offices in Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey in addition to Israel. The officials also discussed a list of names of Israeli politicians, military officers and diplomats slated to be assassinated.

The diplomat, who confirmed the participation of two Lebanese intelligence officers, said that all in all, the meeting included 40 participants.

Residents of the refugee camp that observed the reinforced security measures were told the meeting was aimed at discussing "future Israeli aggression against Lebanon and its Palestinian refugee camps."

The diplomat added that during the meeting, Syrian and Lebanese officials expressed opposition that their borders will be used for attacks against Israel. (Albawaba.com)

Palestinian and international terrorist organizations decided at a recent Beirut conference to launch a wave of terror attacks against Israeli and Jewish interests worldwide, Army Radio quoted the Kuwaiti newspaper A-Siasa as saying Thursday.

According to the report, there will also be similar attacks against coalition troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The conference was held, its planners reportedly said, to put an end to the world's silence in the face of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

The report said that the summit, which took place at the start of February, was also attended by senior members of the Syrian, Lebanese and Iranian intelligence services.

They were reported to have presented a list of Israeli intelligence officials to be assassinated.

Terrorist Conference: "Huge" Attacks On Israel Planned

The Arab news portal Albawaba.com reported today that Muslim terrorist groups - including Hamas, Hizbullah, Al-Qaeda, Islamic Jihad, Ansar Al-Islam and others - decided on a renewed offensive of attacks on Israelis and Israeli interests abroad.

The attacks will include suicide bombings and assassinations of Israeli officials.

The report is based on an interview, carried Thursday in the Kuwaiti Al-Siyasah newspaper, with an unnamed Arab diplomat in Amman, Jordan.

According to the diplomat, forty people, including representatives of the Arab terror groups, Syrian, Lebanese and Iranian intelligence officials, met in northern Lebanon in early February. The decision for the new offensive, according to the newspaper, came as a result of growing criticism among Arabs of their "silence" over Israeli activities.

The only objection to the plans, according to the diplomat, came from Syrian and Lebanese officials – who expressed the request that their borders not be used for the attacks.

"Palestinian and Islamist groups have decided in a meeting earlier this month to launch huge attacks within Israel and against its interests in Asia, Africa and Mideast countries. "

As opposed to their long standing policy of killing Jews, especially women and children wherever they find them and driving Israel into the sea.

It's hard to put this as eloquently as I would like, but I must say that I have a hard time thinking of terrorist attacks on Israel as being breaking news anymore.

It is the status quo of outrage and tragedy.

Am I wrong?

In Israel, yeah I guess. However, Israeli and Jewish places in the world is a more rare occasion. Last one happening in Turkey.

If it can be substantiated beyond a reasonable doubt, pre-emption is the only option for Israel.

To hell with the propaganda war - destroy this vermin.

Yes, it is the status quo thanks to an Israeli population and a traitorous 'leader' (may his name and memory be obliterated forever) that refuse to say "enough."

There will be another bomb soon and Jewish body parts will litter the street. The Israeli government, as policy, will not do a damn thing. Instead, the tendons, marrow, and eyes of what were Jews will be scooped up and washed away. Israelis will emerge to shop, eat, and play in the freshly washed street, exclaiming "See, we will not be deterred by terrorism!"

This suicidal psychopathology is beyond comprehension.

"Come to Israel, kill Jews horribly in the Holy Land with impunity, and we will claim victory over you!"

"Am I wrong?"

No a day without terrorism would be breaking news. But I say we leave it as breaking news. Out of sight, out of mind, and I don't want the day to come when I grow apathetic about it.

Nice of the UN to provide the meeting facilities, and of the US to fund it.

I don't want to be apathetic either, but there is only so much pain I can endure before I become numb to all pain. I'm way over here, on the other side of the world, and it still hurts.

It's easy for me to say "enough!" from the simple comfort of my armchair, but I cannot say I would do any more or any better myself.

For Israel, all roads are painful.

Isaiah 14-18 describes a massive terror filled attack that wipes out Syria, Damascus, half of Jordan, Lebanon and surrounding areas all in one night. Seems God can play this game too.

"In the evening there is trouble, in the morning it is over"...

Somehow Arabs remind me of nasty little kids poking a dog with a stick till they get bit, and then crying all the way home.
