I use common sense when voting. I believe what your heart and mind tell you, based on your make up, is common sense. Those two things make up the commons sense to me.

Still doesn't negate the fact that they are outnumbered 8 to 1 on a very right wing forum. What do you think the numbers would be like without the constant purge of the last two years? They've whittled this place down to a bunch of political party lackies and there's still 14% opposition to the neocons.

If that was the only issue, I would probably still vote for Reagan, because from what I know he was the most conservative Presidents in my lifetime. Well what about his raising taxes, not aboloshing the Dept. of Education.
Seems by your rhetoric that you wouldn't have voted for the "most conservative President in your lifetime".
I thought Reagan was a great President, but according to your current rhetoric, he was not.
Just going by your words.

Like I said, do it locally first and build it up. Don't go for the big pie up front.
I like the Constitution party's stance a lot. And I'd vote them for local spots.

Anyway like I said before not all of that 14% are true third partiers, a lot of them I contend are demo trolls. At least 3% of them are honest enough to state they will vote for kerry.

The difference on the Constitution and Libertarian Party side of the ledger is to send a message that this new republican party is no longer acceptable. How many times do we have to deal with this stuff? "Sending a message" leads to "teaching them a lesson" which, in turn, leads to the wrong guys getting elected because your "message" gets leveraged against you. If Bush and the GOP lose, you WILL NOT like their replacements and their policies. With several SCOTUS vacancies coming up, let's not get stupid.
The Libertarian Party has done much to fragment the Conservative vote, and now the Constitution Party wants to exacerbate the problem. Yes? No?

Bump......
After watching these two beltway parties, as they kick and slap each other like 4 year old brats, their never ending juvenile distractions are just too much. And once elected, they act just like the other.
I'll go take a look at the site.

Ok, help me out here.................
"It's true, as Nader showed against Gore. The Constitution Party is the Perot of 2004."
If an individual claims to be a liberal/moderate and votes for a third party, it is no different than a vote for the GOP.
If an individual claims to be a conservative/republican and votes for a third party, it is no different than a vote for the DNC.
If these statements are indeed true, then all a voter would have to do is "claim" to be a liberal/moderate, cast a vote for a third party candidate, and have their action benefit bush/the gop.
I really fail to recognize this type of "logic".

Great idea - but NOT for this November. The difference between Bush and Kerry is as great as the difference between light and darkness, good and evil.
Wait until the Repubs run some weasel RINO like McCain or Chafee or Giuliani or Kean. THEN vote for the Constitution PArty on the National Level.

The Republican party is doing the best job of fragmenting the conservative vote. Where you been?

Sort of like voting on whether to have 1 toe or 2 toes removed this year.
I will vote for 0 toes lost, even if it means I lose 2 or even 3 toes.
I refuse to continue to agree to lose toes. I refuse to swell the numbers and apparent support for the single toe cutters...
(Are "toes cut off" rediculous to discuss like this? Of course they are. So insert one or more of the following in place of the toes:
constitutional rights changed, redefined or abolished
percentage of income taken
number of liberal (or conservative)judges appointed
number of no-knock raids resulting in death of innocents
number of schools raided by police with guns drawn
number of states allowing same sex "anything"
millions of babies aborted
billions in aid to foreign interrests
number of interns boffed or offed
homeowners incarcerated for defending their families
millions of aliens crossing the border
millions of acres of forest logged, burned, or denied to loggers
number of "endangered" predator species re-introduced to suburban neighborhoods
number of arkencides
secrets sold to foreign interrests
millions of jobs shipped overseas
number of thoughts, ideas, books, weapons, etc. banned
new/raised taxes
military bases either closed or opened
wars started, won or lost
etc.
In other words, whichever side you are on of whatever arguement you are interrested in, vote for someone who actually at least claims to represent your convictions. If everyone voted their convictions instead of playing a historically doomed "prevent defense", there would be a nice conservative party winning consistently in this country.)

if you believe in the US Constitution, then vote for the candidate who will honor, protect and defend the US Constitution regardless of his/her party affiliation. Most people know that the President and Congress take an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States", but I wonder how many voters understand that when they singed their voter registration application form that they too are taking an oath, "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will protect and defend the Constitution of the United Sates".
The problem we have in Washington is that the voters have NO clue what the US Constitution says and means so they have no idea how to protect and defend it.
