WELL NOW, that was the most dashing photo op since the president donned his flight jacket and landed on the USS Lincoln to declare mission accomplished. On Sunday, George W. took public transportation down to Daytona and buzzed the 180,000 fans in the stadium and 35 million viewers on television.

Then, with Air Force One parked within camera range of the track...

Obviously she has never been to Daytona, much less to a NASCAR race.

Ellen, you ignorant ****, the Daytona airport is next door to the track. You can't park Airforce One at Daytona and NOT be in camera range of the track.

Headline Should Read: Liberal Looks Down Long Narrow Nose at NASCAR Dads.

Also,

"...NASCAR Dad is man of the political year. He's the XY chromosome heir to the Joe Six-Pack..."

Isn't Joe Six-Pack the media's name for the ignorant viewer/reader who they must talk down to in order for him to understand their spiel?

Yes and they are the self thinkers that Rats can't reach so they have to portray them as ignorant poor hillbillies that don't know any better.

"The NASCAR Dad may like risk-taking as a spectator sport, but these days he's the guy buckling the kids in the child seats."

Only because the nanny state has made it a "crime" not to.

The analysts may not think of NASCAR Dads as green, but a well-oiled administration that revoked approval of the Kyoto protocols, made a scam of fuel emission standards and barely uttered a post-9/11 peep about renewable energy is offering the next generation a future as dark as the track. As Dan Becker of the Sierra Club says, the White House environmental policy "begins and ends with `Gentleman, start your engines.' "

Kyoto was rejected by the Senate 99 to zero, one of the few unanimous votes I can remember from that body. To say this administration scotched Kyoto is to deny reality.

What is a fuel emission standard? Most engines are designed to burn fuel, not emit fuel.

Regarding renewable energy, didn't Bush just give away about a quadrillion dollars to the corn farmers in Iowa for ethanol? It's a political pay-off of course, but to say the administration is not backing renewable energy ignores this massive outlay of money.

And as for Dan Becker of the Sierra Club, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that he's a died-in-the-wool Democrat who would not support a Republican administration under any circumstances.

You have to love the way the left sqiurms and groans over GWB's use of the "bully pulpit".

I know I do.

So wrong, so many ways, there is just not enough time in the day to critique this collection of wishful sop.

I just wish I could see her face when the crown cheered our President when he took the mike. But I bet she didn't watch the race.

Blame the France family. With the growth of NASCAR they're trying to bring in all the big stars. Affleck driving the pace car and Whoopi Goldberg looking like an absolute idiot on the starter's stand, holding out the flag with both hands

The analysts may not think of NASCAR Dads as green, but a well-oiled administration that revoked approval of the Kyoto protocols, made a scam of fuel emission standards and barely uttered a post-9/11 peep about renewable energy is offering the next generation a future as dark as the track

I doubt there were more than 5 people at that race, and less than 10 watching the race to be watching it and not the photo op from Bush that could care less about Kyoto or 'alternative' fuels

I don't know much about stock car racing, but every time some politician waves the checkered flag at this man, I want to put on the brakes. I think they're forgetting the dad in the NASCAR Dad.

Ellen, you don't know much about NASCAR Dads either...or anything else for that matter.

Whoa doggies! I found a fact in this drivel!

In 1992, Bill Clinton got booed at a NASCAR event.

Eleen, you ignorant slut :

First, your precious Butthead Ben was not "bumped", he was there to drive the pace car, Bush was INVITED to start the race. Get over it Hag.

Second, youa re so ignorantly stupid about "NASCAR" dad it is almost Comical. I am a NASCAR DAD -- Each year my two sons and I attend Races a Talledega --try these numbers on for size bimbo :
Tickets for Sat Busch/ARCA Race : $45 3=$135
Tickets For Sunday Cup race : $115 3=$345
Food ($4 beer, $3 coke, etc ): Minimum of $40 per person per day -- $240
Gas (I am within 90 min of track so I drive up each morning) - $50
Souvenirs - $150

Let's see now Ellen --- that comes out to $920 for the weekend. And that is conservative estimate. We do this for both races. So you may want to rethink your statements about how POOR we NASCAR fans are you dipstick.

It is acceptable for Kerry to be out on the political trail instead of in the Senate actually working, but it is totally unacceptable if Bush does the same thing......He is the sitting pres and we are losing jobs, he should be in the white house creating more jobs!

(sarcastic)

The best part about NASCAR races is that they don't have any half-time.

If this voter is going to swing, it better be to the party that offers his kids more than a trip around and around and around the same old track

Northeastern elitist lunacy is a brand all of its own.
