I never served in the military- I was 4-F- and I don't know alot about being in a war, but just the high number of medals and the short time I had heard that he was in theater has bothered me from the beginning of the run for the Dem nomination. I smell something here, also.
Please- is there anyone here who can file for Kerry's records under the FOIA? I am too far away and too inexperienced to do it. Or do we assume that Bush already has this info at his fingertips for the Sept/Oct/Nov time period?

I read that Kerry had his records sealed.
Hmmm.

No way on earth is the Bush administration going to impugn Kerry's service in Viet Nam.
Nor should they!

Yes, me. :-)
Already done.
I mailed form 'SF180' Tuesday requesting ALL of Lt. Kerry's military records from 1966-1970. I was going to do it Monday, but I forgot about that stupid Presidents Day Fed Holiday.
The kicker might be the cost for all his undeleted records. I might have to resubmit another SF180 for a deleted copy pertaining only to his medals, awards and citations.
We shall see, what we shall see.
BTW, any private citizen can request these records.

It is my understanding that information regarding 'After Action' reports of Swift Boat 44 are being sought. Don't be surprised if they aren't turned up.
