Most veterans are Republicans, or Independents.
Go figure....
I am scratching my head at why you would think Veterans have our own separate political party or platform.

I am scratching my head at why you would think Veterans have our own separate political party or platform. Where did I say that? You could at least spend a fraction of a second trying to read what I said in a favorable light. I am not your enemy.
Veterans acting on their own initiative are a credible political force. Bush, or Republican leaders calling for Kerry's records is not a useful political action.

"There was never an implication that Veterans had their own separate party.I have no idea why you are misreading the suggestion that a vet has more credibility than anyone to question medal inflation.
This would be a dangerous path for the Campaign because questioning someone's bravery, heroics is very tricky. The perception could be offensive to a lot of voters.
I hope some great researchers can find out if Kennedy was"sponsoring" him, making a Silver Star more easily approved.
