You're joking, right? Don't watch TV or listen to too much music, do we? I can assure you that there are much stronger advocates for marijuana use than Bill Clinton. I can further assure you that their influence is orders of magnitude stronger than BJ's.

We do not assert that Bill Clinton alone caused the effect. The general culture, both elite and pop, has much to do with it. But there also you will note that Bill Clinton took his saxophone and deliberately joined and sought to use the pop culture, such as it is, despite his clever attack on Sister Souljah. But why are individuals spouting very bad poetry about "hos" and cop-killing given a free ride on their very bad art and even lionized for it? Does it not parallel the free ride given to so-called "black readers" who participate with them in destroying our culture rather than creating within it? Are these things not of a piece?
