That's the frustration.
There has been no greater advocate for tougher border enforcement in California the last ten years than Kaloogian.
Illegal aliens have no right to American freedoms. They've broken the law and entered this nation illegally.
Until we address the MONEY side of the equation, the politicians will continue to look the other way. So when the Kaloogian's in the Senate vote "AYE" on increasing funding for the border patrol with more agents and tighter security measures, the rest of the politicos will be voting NO.
Kaloogian's a hero to the immigration reform movement, and the leaders in the effort have worked with him for 10 years on these problems.
You need to read up on this more, my friend.
Apparently, you think that its OK to introduce a new law asking American citizens to show a drivers license and a social security card before they exercise their right to wire money overseas. Of course, the illegal aliens will either use surrogates, fake documents, or black market channels to continue sending money home. In the mean time, American citizens will have to give up another right.
Just like the War on [some] Drugs. When the Republican legislature and Jeb Bush gave us our current draconian doctor shopping laws in Florida, they told us that those laws were meant for drug dealers, not average citizens. Now we have Rush Limbaugh spending thousands of dollars (probably millions before the whole mess is over) to pay a gaggle of attorneys. Rush Limbaugh is being investigated under the doctor shopping laws.
Some people cannot see the foolishness of enacting new laws when current laws are sufficient to deal with the problem at hand. Lack of willingness to enforce current laws is not a good reason to enact a new law.
