"Koch said he'd be happy to address the convention, but only if he was allowed to point out his differences with Bush on domestic issues."

I've said this before, but an Ed Koch-Rudy Gulliani Bush Campaign Commercial would be Dy-no-mite!

Is anyone awake at the RNC?

I remember on 9/11, ABC radio was interviewing Koch when their airhead reporterette who was with the President came on. She went on and on about things seeming to be disjointed, nobody knew where they were going, etc., etc. It was a bash Bush moment that I thought at the time was way out of line.

Koch came back on after she said, "we're leaving now" and she got on the plane with the President. Koch really lit into her. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was something along the lines of "you don't need to know where you're going. The President knows what he's doing. Stop being stupid. War has just been declared on us and we're not about to tell the enemy what the President is doing." I was really amazed. He was really angry with that reporter for being so selfish and stupid. And Peter Jennings, for once, let Koch have his say.

That's one of the things I think I will always remember about 9/11.

There's a shock.

If Al Gore wasn't a coward, he would of resigned as VP over Monica when it became clear that Bubba lied.

He would have won in 2000, and we'd all be begging Rudy to get Gore out in November.

Thankfully, Gore is a coward, and he's corrupt, and the Clinton's have a "file" on him, and he knows who his master is.

I've been wondering this for a long time. It seems to me, that 9/11 was a personal enough thing, that if we can make them see that W is their man, with the help of Koch thinking Deomcrats and Guliani voting Democrats, we just might be able to swing NY into the R column. At the very least, we might be able to make a fight out of it, and if the dems need to fight to keep NY on their side, I don't see them winning.

I think there are plans in the works for a Rudy\Koch ad in NYC. If the libs don't carry NYC 4:1 they lose NY. The ad may not be enough to carry the state but it will force them to spend money there just like they will be forced to spend money in California because of Arnold.

Not too sure about Koch at the convention, but after reading Zell's book, I'd give him a primetime speech in a heartbeat.

One of the best politicians in the country, even when I don't agree with him.

"I think there are plans in the works for a Rudy\Koch ad in NYC."

Wow! That would be great! The commercial would be even more effective if Ed was allowed to put in a blurb about not "agreeing" with Bush on domestic issues. (If we could just get some of the folks around here to...never mind)

But, I think they should go "wide" with it, as they say in the trade.

Ed Koch is a down the line bleeding heart liberal who happens to side with his own country in the war against the Islamofascists.

A Democrat who isn't a traitor. What a novel concept, eh?

Koch is more Republican than the current "Republican" Mayor of NYC.

Yesterday or the day before during his radio show he actually said "Tonight on Hannity & Colmes we're going to spend two segments discussing why Alan hates the title of my new book."

I think Koch has basically agreed to say that although he disagrees with Dubya on a majority of issues the only thing that matters in the 04 election is the war on terror, especially for New Yorkers, and that Bush is the best man for the job.
