Bush is doing a good job of talking about the issues without taking any actions, he doesn't want to upset the Log Cabin Republicans who voted for him in 2000.

They want to destroy it's moral authority, just like they did the Catholic Church. There, they weren't just claiming to be Republicans, they were actually claiming to be men ordained by god!
It was my understanding that Log Cabine Republicans are not in favor of gay "marriage", only gay unions.
