Last night, I heard John Stossel say that govt spending now accounts for over 40 % percent of GDP. He said that up to the 60's, Govt spending only accounted for about 5% of the GDP. This could be a major cause of outsourcing, along with increased regulations by the alphabet soup gang. (EPA, OSHA, etc.)

Stossel ( a Libertarian) is now being excoriated by libs, after he starting exposing the excesses of government. Libs loved him when he went after business, but now, he is the scourge of the earth. They are really ripping him for his new book that has just come out.
