Yeah, I'm fluent.

His name, it says, is the name of the village he was born in: "Al Kidva" or "Al Kidova" (rough translation into English), in Morocco.

The article also talks about the author asking the former Moroccan minister of Foreign Affairs, and he says Arafat's father is from that village. Arafat was born in Cairo, but he has Morrocan-Jewish links, as this book says. Arafat's uncle also claims this, and says Arafat changed his name to hide his true identity.

The book is called "Yasser Arafat and the Zionist solution to the conflict in Palestine"

Israeli gov. sources say this is probably "an internal matter in the Arafat family and around it, questioning the legitimacy of Arafat, and whether or not he is Zionist and helping the Israelis, as this book claims."

Lots of funny Israeli comments to this article :)

Could be true. Adolph Hitler had Jewish roots. I think his Holocost was a form of self hatred.

Common myth, probably untrue.

The PLO ambassador to the UN is Nasser al Kidwa. Wonder if he's a relative.

Somehow I doubt this.

On the other hand, it's virtually certain that Mummar Khadafi's mother was a Lybian Jew who converted to Islam. I know several Lybian Jews who have relatives from her village.

Romanian deflector Pacepa has brought info from Moscow that Yassir Arafat was born in Cairo. There is no reson to suspect the veracity of this information. Arafat was Russian agent and they destroyed all records of his birth in Cairo.

Morroco story is probably hoax. By whom and what for, it is hard to tell.

As of Hitler's origin, it is worth remembering that Austro Hungarian Empire was an efficent police state. All eployers in Vienna were obliged to register their servants with the police, because unregistered were not allowed to stay in Vienna.

There is record where Hitler's grandmother was employed 9 months before giving birth to his father.

"Then you have the Palestinian prominent historian Jarid Al-Kidwa announced from the Palestinian TV that: "The stories of the Torah and the Bible did not take place in the Land of Israel--they occurred in the Arabian peninsula, primarily in Yemen. The identity of our father Ibrahim [Abraham] who is mentioned in the Koran is clear. From the Koran's description of him it arises that he lived in the southern Hejaz [Saudi Arabia], near Mecca." Mr. Al-Kidwa also announced that the Arab in reality has the true Jewish blood while the Jew is from a Khazarian race."

Here are some of the Israeli comments on the article; LOL:

"Let's give him Israeli citizenship"

"The Jewish Agency missed one"

"If Arafat is Jewish....I am Arab!"

"With these kinds of Jews, who needs Arabs?"

"Wait, now we need to give him a Bar-Mitzvah, and circumcision"

"If he is Jewish and his is living in Gaza...HE IS AN ILLEGAL SETTLER!"

"We should welcome him as a new immigrant"

"He is living with the Arabs in his Mukata, which proves there can be Jewish co-existance with Arabs"

"In the end, we are all Jews!"

"Gaza funeral for Arafat's sister - GAZA CITY: The funeral of one of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's sisters will be held in the Gaza Strip today. Yussra Al Qidwa will be buried in a ceremony in the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the official agency Wafa reported yesterday. A book of condolences will also be opened at Arafat's headquarters in Ramallah for two days after the funeral. Qidwa, 77, died in the Palestine Hospital, in the northern Cairo suburb of Heliopolis, following an illness. She had lived in Egypt since 1994 with her husband Jarir Al Qidwa, who had served as Arafat's adviser on education and her son, Nassir, is the Palestinian representative to the United Nations. Arafat is currently under Israeli siege in his West Bank headquarters. In addition to her son, Al Kidwah is survived by three daughters. source: gulf-daily-news.com"

Yoni, this is hysterical--there's no other way to make the gullible Arab world hate Arafat than to call him a Jew.

Um, this would be interesting except for one tiny little problem.

Arafat was born in Egypt.

Actually Yasser Arafat is Japanese. His mother had an affair with Godzilla.

LOL. I always thought he was of the serpentine persuasion, myself.

The article surmises that Arafat's father, of Moroccan Jewish descent, met Arafat's mother, an Arab woman from Jerusalem, and baby Yassir was born in Cairo.

In which case Yasir would be an Egyptian Jew, not a Moroccan one.

For bonus points, do you know who Yasirs uncle was?
