I'm an infantry veteran that spent a lot of time and thought on how I was going to deal with enemy tanks, so your "ask the other veterans" doesn't carry much with me. We have historically underarmed our infantry against armor, and many GI's were in fact killed while shooting a BAR at the front aspect of a Tiger tank.
The bottom line is that you have posted a swastika on Free Republic.

"Never take a BAR to a tank fight" is what that is referring to.
I was in artillery, and apparently have a better sense of humor than you do.
AND no, there was no 'swastika', just the iron cross which is still used on military vehicles.
How about actually opening your eyes and looking at something before getting all worked up and indignantly self righteous?
