I would hope we shoot the walking, armed, unsurrendered wounded. They can shoot us.

True. But his gunner laid down a swarm of 50 cal rounds on the enemy's tent. If any of that fire was accurate, its very likely that Kerry stumbled in on a shredded man incapable of living much longer, much less firing a weapon.

Does Kerry insist the man was armed? Can he coorborate with a witness, or are we supposed to just take his word that he didn't murder a helpless potential POW?

It was some kind of a "hooch," which I take to mean a lightly built hut. A rocket launcher and one rocket round were recovered, brought back to the boat by Kerry. Thus, the VC soldier must be assumed a threat to destroy the boat unless one of the .50 cal rounds took him out.

I can't prove Kerry didn't shoot a dead or dying man, or a man trying to surrender. Kerry is the only one still alive who saw what happened inside the "hooch." The way the system works, we don't require proof of innocence except in the special case of the Bush ANG "AWOL" story. (But that's OK too. The proofs of innocence have been turning up.)

Or shoot a dead body. I don't give a damn about his record, you don't turn from a patriotic soldier to a communist agitator that fast. The story that he "fought in Vietnam and then came home to fight one more battle" is a bunch of crap. He should be held to the same standard that W is being held to. Wheres the documentation Kerry?
