I totally disagree. Edwards is a political lightweight and his inexperience would be his undoing.

Edwards would be much harder for Bush to beat than Kerry - would force the GOP to spend tremendous resources holding the South. Plus the gravitas and charm and boyish good looks.

I totally disagree. Edwards is a political lightweight and his inexperience would be his undoing. But inexperience is usually an advantage. Edwards could still possibly play a bit of an 'outsiders' card and doesn't have quite the skeleton closet.
If he wins, I predict something of an "Mr Smith Goes to Washington campaign", and voters like someone "who's one of us." over a blueblood.
Not to mention that Southerners have an easier time selling in the Midwest than a New Englander.
