"In fact, this is one of the key shortcomings of nominating Kerry -- he is a sitting duck in September in the Senate -- we are going to make him vote on making the tax cuts permanent, on judges, on defense appropriations, on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, etc. Not really, all he will do is just skip the important votes like he's been doing all along. Just because taxpayers pay his salary doesn't mean he has to earn it, if he's a Dim.

Yelp! he's missed like 80% of the vote since the fall and the answer to my tag line is ZERO.
Really needs to be fired for not doing his job.

(Ask Kerry to list the major pieces of enacted legislation he has authored in his career.)

Not really, all he will do is just skip the important votes like he's been doing all along. You are quite wrong about this. There is no way that Kerry can miss important Senate votes in the fall. If he does, it will be a huge campaign issue -- not the absenteeism so much but the waffling and prevarication on the issues. He cannot, for example, get away with not voting on a constitutional amendment to prohibit gay marriage. Or making the tax cuts permanent. Even the press won't let him slide on those two votes.
