I am not thrilled by Newsom's publicity stunt. But just as disgusting are so-called Christians praying and hoping for a calamitous earthquake to strike San Francisco. What would Emperor Constantine do?

Me too. It's so amusing that some "Christians" seem to think they have the right to speak for their deity. They're just drooling at the idea of a big earthquake taking down San Francisco. How nice. SF is a large city, and there are even many, many churches in it. I guess it's OK if the Christians in San Francisco die, too, according to this group of "Christians." Feh!

I don't think you want to know the answer to that question. Suffice it to say it would innvolve legions, swords, and many dead sodomites in San Francisco. Starting with Newsome.

Unlike the goobernator, Roman emperors did not take kindly to having their authority challenged by local functionaries like Newsome.
