WASHINGTON Amid the solemn atmosphere of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the place known simply as The Wall, Dewey Brown reaches up to touch one name among tens of thousands engraved in the polished black granite.
Ramrod straight at age 76, the retired Army colonel is not a man prone to tears. But his voice breaks in anger as he recalls that divisive war and what he terms Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kerry's disrespect for the men who fought and died there.

How about audio of Kerry's testimony from the congressional committee about baby killers over video of the viet nam wall memorial.

He also earned a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, the latter for beaching his patrol boat and jumping ashore to chase down and kill a Viet Cong guerrilla who used a rocket launcher to fire on his men.
A Silver Star for this ? I wonder:
1. Who submitted his name for this
2. Who the heck approved it ?
John Kerry is starting to overplay the Vietnam card. It will come back and bite him in the butt.

I do respect the time he was in combat, but it was short. Very short. And he got out ASAP. So I'm tired of everyone paying lip service to his heroism (I mean every conservative commentator who starts that way). He got a cushy job in an admiral's office, then out of the service early to run for Congress with his anti war crap. my take on his war service is that he did no more and probably somehat less than every GI who was in a tank in the recent war.

This should also be campaign commercials for the RNC. There must be audio/video tapes of that testimony. Juxtapose that with his votes against military spending.
The fact that this ran in the LA Times makes me think the Clintons believe it is time for Kerry to be toppled.

He also earned a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, the latter for beaching his patrol boat and jumping ashore to chase down and kill a Viet Cong guerrilla who used a rocket launcher to fire on his men. The full story here is that the Cong ran behind a hooch, which was then fired on by the boats 50cal. THEN Kerry got off the boat and went behind the hooch, where he found the apparently wounded (dead?) Cong. Kerry shot him again, and took the RPG back to the boat.
That's what he got the silver star for.
