Who said I have sour grapes because GW is successful. I am happy for those who do well. In fact I am a huge advocate of success as every conservative should be. But if one becomes successful he or she shouldn't have to pay for those who aren't successful (i.e. welfare).

If you are born into the Bush family you damn well better be respectable and successful. By having your dad as the head of the CIA and then a senator, vice president, and then president you should utilize those connections to become somewhat successful.

As far as you taking this little argument to a personal level. I have been very successful in my 25 years on this planet. I graduated 4th in my high school class, I was accepted into one of the top 7 universities in America and I am now in a very prestigious Law school in Tennessee. By the way I paid the majority of my way through(the rest being loans the size of a nice little Hyundai). I am in my second year of law school studying corporate law (more specific bankruptcy). I am kicking arse and I know I will do well so to insinuate that I am jealous of GWB because he is the president is outrageous.

I respect GWB but if I had the same family as him I would be the president(in fact the first black president). But you don't seem to adequately refute what I said. Bush is a northeastern. He went to an northeastern high school, college and graduate school. that totals 10 to 12 years of northeastern indoctrination at very pinnacle parts of his young adult life and he does carry that into his politics, hence his amnesty and prescription handouts to old fogies.

This isn't class warfare as the Roebucks' live about 5 miles from my house. I have attended schools comparable to Bush's only difference is that I didn't have any advantages besides my 1480 SAT and 4.2 GPA(my father had to put his foot in my arse a few times to maintain it) and with those scores coming out of High School one doesn't need AA to get partial scholarships.

So I know that advantages such as better schooling and good homes helps people out, but having a POTUS in your family helps a little bit too.

Duh Bush is gonna win do you really think a Nimrod like Kerry is gonna win. LMAO, Kerry can't even win with his wife let alone the POTUS. Maybe if he asks his wife nicely he can play in the general election and be who he really is.

High School one doesn't need AA to get partial scholarships.

Why did you feel the need to put that in there. It is you doing the stereotyping around here.

No, I wouldn't say I am an elitist as don't have those liberal slants. I believe that to each its own. I believe that we shouldn't take from people who barely make enough to support themselves so that we can give to others who don't want to work. This isn't being an elitist this is being realist.

I don't believe in taking money from me and other people who work hard b/c people want to come to this country illegally and thus I have to pay their medical bill and their welfare benefits. Primarily I am not an elitist because I have had to earn what I have today. My dad used to stomp it in my arse that when I graduate high school that is it, I am on my own. He raised me to do well and I have persevered. I did what I was suppose to do and I am doing well.

I compared the two upbringings of Bush and Kerry because of the similarities in schooling and also the similarities in some policies of late that the president has been poking and prodding in order to garner more votes. I want him to stick to his guns, stick to what is right for the people not what is right for the moment. This is what a non-elitist would do.

Its people like Alter, that effing liar, that really get me jazzed. Bush is greeted with roars of approval everytime he visits troops and its not faked. He's quite an accomplished commander in chief.

I put this in here because I have been told that I am only in certain places b/c of AA. It is a natural defense mechanism to get people to shut-up about it. LOL

they are both eastern prep-schoold elitists

When Bush attended Harvard business school at the peak of its elitist elan, he would sit in the back in his flight jacket with his feet up chewing tobacco.

He was never interested in being an elitist. He is the most egalitarian person I have ever studied.

Nope you have made it clear that you have a huge chip on your shoulder when it comes to people like the Bush family. You are rightfully proud of your own achievements but that pride is offset by the sneering attitude you express for everyone else. I think you need a bit of humility added to your pride. The Bush family did not elect GW Bush to the office, the country elected him.

On FR the race of a member is rarely an issue unless that member makes it one. You have decided to make it one.

The president went to PUBLIC school,IN TEXAS, before going to Exeter.

Kerry went to a fancy SWISS private school, before going to St.Paul's.

The president grew up in TEXAS, didn't marry FOR money, not once, but TWICE, as Kerry did, and worked in the REAL world, before entering politics; again, unlike Kerry.

People, who make barely enough to support themselves, pay NO Federal income tax. Again, you seem quite removed from facts..........learn some.

As far as him being white and getting preferential treatment, that is what you said not me, but while on this subject we just have to accept that this is just a societal fact that those that look alike tend to fit in better with like surroundings. This is only human. I don't buy that PC crap that we are all equal and that blah blah blah we don't discriminate and we sing songs and are happy. No, the world is rough presentation has a lot to do with getting by. Get with the program, if I am able to accept this and get on with it why can't you just acknowledge it. I harbor no ill feelings toward whites, it is only natural to discriminate. Blacks discriminate in their settings and the majority will discriminate in their settings, only difference is that I as well as a select a few are adept and able to adapt.

The most egalitarian person you have "ever studied" you do know that egalitarian means belief in equal political, economic, social, and civil rights for all people. Although I respect Bush, I have far more respect about 100000000x more respect to people like Jesus.

UH people who make anywhere from 50 to 70 grand a year do pay taxes. You get the facts straight. These people are hit the hardest. They not only don't get the breaks that the uber poor receive but they have to maintain their living and also are expected to send their kids to college, etc. These people are hit hard.
