Guess this means that Ed Schultz (new liberal on radio)will have a home on TV. He's been on Scarborough a few times...probably will be taking over the show when Clint..er..Kaplan takes over.

Kaplan was one of Clinton's Lincoln Bedroom buddies. He's the guy who told the on-air people at CNN (which he ran into the ground) not to use the word "scandal" when they were reporting on the latest Clinton scandal.
To: TheEaglehasLanded
Sheesh. Old news. I heard this last Monday on talk radio.
Sorenson, IIRC, was headed over to the Skiffy Channel.
Clintoons everywhere. Maybe he can reclaim Scifi from Podesta's awful influence.
Kaplan? He may have a chance with FNC doing its best to alienate viewers.
To: Brian Mosely
Wow, what a brilliant plan. Hire this proven loser to save another proven loser (MSNBC). These guys need to stop hiring their liberal buddies and hire somebody that knows how to produce a quality (UNBIASED) news show.

Sorry about the duplicate. Schultz is a local radio guy from North Dakota who's getting lots of play (LA Times, Esquire mag, etc.) as the "liberal Rush Limbaugh". Funny thing is...he was a big-time Conservative until about a year or two ago. Guess he switched to get a chance at the big time. Only a few stations have picked him up since his national show began in January. MSNBC's had him on with Scarborough, Matthews, etc. Like I said, he's a new darling of the left, so I'm sure Kaplan will find a place for him on his air.

Isn't Rick Kaplan the Clinton lackey who butted heads with Lou Dobbs at CNN?Lou Dobbs is the best news show on TV. He's the only man who covers what I want to hear about. Such as illegal immigration and outsourcing. He the only CNN man who wears an American flag lapel pin. (Do any women on TV news wear flag lapel pins?)

Imus talks about his relationship with Kaplan (or lack thereof).
According to Don Imus, Kaplan went from Nightline to Prime Time Live. Soon thereafter PTL did a profile of the I-Man. Shortly after that, Kaplan, who was in charge of that year's Correspondents Dinner in DC, asked Imus to give the speech. At the time the speech bombed but later, much of what Imus said about Clinton, turned out to be true. In the days following the speech Imus remembers who stood behind him and who didn't. One of those who sold him out was Kaplan.
Don Imus comes across as not being worried about the new boss at MSNBC but he sure has been talking about it enough.

As I recall while Kaplan was at CNN the Peter Arnett lie "ILL WIND" was produced.

(Do any women on TV news wear flag lapel pins?)I believe Donna Fiducia, who isn't used anywhere near as much as she should be by FoxNews, usually wears one.

Was Ill Wind the same thing as Tail Wind - the story that we had gased some of our own troop in Laos? What ever it was, Arnett said he didn't know what was being produced in his Exec Producer's name.

In an effort to do for CNN what he did for PMSNBC, kaplan is expected to force ratings from 0.5 to 0.1 and then get fired....we can hope he will eventually visit all liberal news outlets

Don Imus comes across as not being worried about the new boss at MSNBC but he sure has been talking about it enough.Imus doesn't have to be worried. He just signed a new contract, and his show routinely beats CNN's atrocious American Morning. Kaplan can't afford to dump one of the few shows (often the ONLY show) on MSDNC that actually beats CNN or FNC in its time slot.

As I recall while Kaplan was at CNN the Peter Arnett lie "ILL WIND" was produced.Yes, Kaplan was there for the Tailwind story. He tried his best to defend Peter Arnett and April Oliver (the producer of the Tailwind fabrication), but in the end he was forced to throw them under the bus to save his own hide.
