As someone who plays the accoustic classical guitar... Hey, I didn't know you played! I play a
little accoustic spanish guitar, myself, but not much (I took a few lessons with Juan Serrano--ever heard of him?).
John Denver made the acoustic guitar look a lot easier to play than it really is. He's a legend.
And what about Chet Atkins!?! GOOOOLLY, that man could PLAY!
(I know, Denver and Atkins were not rock guitarists, but they were superb).

As far as rock/blues, the best blues guitarist I'm familiar with was Stevie Ray Vaughan--incredible.
