The difference is that some of us heed God's call to repentance, and are forgiven.
Well, yes and no. In a strictly theological sense, yes, but in a practical sense, there are degrees. I am not talking in terms of salvation, but of... well, not sure what word to use, so I'll just say "trust" and let the context fill in the blanks.
On the one hand, you have Billy Graham. Flawed, forgiven. I'd trust him with my wife, my kids, my property, with no qualms at all. Then, there are people like David Berkowitz, whom from what I've observed in the press, is also a sincere repentant believer. Flawed, forgiven. But, I prefer that he remain in prison, and I would not be comfortable trusting him with my wife, children, etc.
So, there are degrees. Those are two extremes at either end of the scale. Everyone else is in between.
As to the vegetables, weather and wife permitting <g>, I'll get them in when the ice is gone, then a month or two before they're at their best, depending on the weather.
Understood.
As Mel Gibson said last night..........somewhere between Howard Stern and St. Francis of Assisi..........
May the ice thaw soon. I just spent the last half hour continuing to chip away at the several inches still left from our ice storm. But the smell of spring is in the air, and I like that.....
