If this is the case, there is literally not one news value this story matches, and I don't see any reason for Drudge to continue it except to try to salvage his reputation to some degree.

Because it wasn't the campaign chief. She said she was dating the next president and her Father hates Kerry. Drudge may be the only one on this but he is the only one that seems to get any good stories. Picturing a 60 year old Ichabod Crane with her is ugly, yeesh.
