ROFL!
I presume "condescending" is your code for "thinking in a logical, unbiased manner" (doing so seems to annoy a great many FReepers, I've noticed.)
If the SUN had quoted Polier's parents saying they thought Kerry was great and they were going to vote for him, people on FR would have been tearing the Sun to shreds and pointing out it's a tabloid that also carries nudie pics.
For all we know the parents may not EVEN know about the "sleazeball" quote. It's a British tabloid. They probably don't read FR, may not have ever gone to Drudge's site, and don't have the Sun bookmarked.
And every PR guy will tell you that you don't spend all of your time specifically denying EVERYTHING said about you. It's like answering the "have you stopped beating your wife?" question. To specifically deny the specific Sun quotes, in and of itself, gives the Sun credibility.
For all we know the parents may not EVEN know about the "sleazeball" quote..
Sure. The media's been camped outside their home. Their daughter is a reporter in Kenya with connections. She's not oblivious. The statements are coordinated. Do you think they were blindly coordinated? I mean, let's get logical here.
The quotes in The Sun stand unrefuted, undenied and unquestioned by the parents. Until they're explained or refuted, those comments still stand in stark contrast to the parents' endorsement of Kerry today.
