Well you are responding to someone who holds a Masters from one of the top 5 colleges in California. I do not believe books provide dirt to the understanding of this world especially if it is a PHD in french lit. If you want to have a spitting contest I will out do you by my 25th year.
Now that said, saying I am all over the map is accusing me of not being organized. My goal was to get you to read the Bush Proposal, which as an educated man, I figured you didn't read before this posting on the FR.
As far as your condescension; I note you speak nebulously without any sources to back you assertions; again, a sure sign of an academic.
A. Databases are cheap, infact fire departments such as Ventura has databases of most of the cities buildings on hand for each fire truck, many cities have this and are moving in this direction. This information is much more detailed and resource consuming than a name and identification number, which some 300 million legal Americans have in spades. So, your point A is not a point at all, just a misdirection in rhetorical doublespeak.
B. "Most businesses do declare workers, obey the law with respect to minimum wage and pay taxes on their workers." I wasn't talking about most businesses only the ones that break the law like Wal Mart. Again a misdirection on your part and another example of doublespeak.
C. Covered by holding businesses responsible and providing that they pay registered employees legal wages. Anything less would be tax evasion. There are a lot of laws about cheating the IRS.
"Lastly your assertion of a shrinking job base for illegals is absurd. " I know you know how to read because you have a PHD check out Economics 101 at the local library and read about Supply and Demand; it is a really good chapter of any basic econ book.
You haven't read the proposal have you?
