She was raised in privilege, but under a dictatorship with repressive economic and racial policies. She went to college in South Africa, where at the University of Witwatersrand, she marched in the fledgling anti-apartheid movement.

So how did she get from there to becoming the heiress of the Heinz fortune? I thought Heinz was an all-American company founded in Pennsylvania. What were the Heinzes doing in Mozambique? Evading U.S. taxes?
