[history]
President Bush made his way to Daytona International Speeway today, where he was honored with starting the race. Air Force One touched down on a near-by airstrip after doing a fly-by for the thousands of NASCAR fans in attendance. The President's motorcade then made a trip around the oval before heading to Pit Row, where the President greeted many of the drivers. Bush also took time to greet some fans in the stands. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Do I have time to send another package?

Hi Ms.B!
I suppose you're somewhere else by now. My dear husband had to do some stuff on the computer so I'm here late. Between reading posts I'm typing papers for my kids. It's interesting to see what they come up with to write for English stories.
Hope you had a good day!

The footage of President Bush today was excellent and the interviewers respectful... I was shocked, and pleased.
To: mike1sg
No, it was on CBS or ABC, I think. There will be another house made over next week. Do you get Trading Spaces over there? We LOVE Discovery Channel.

I watched the NASCAR "stuff" from 1-2:00 at a mexican place with TV.s.. just had a Brew as I was taking lunch to my invalid aunt at 2:30...
Exciting wtht the fly over; LA Rimes; Dubya greeting teams, drivers, fans...AF1 leaving... and oh, yes, the RACE!
Cold here too( a bit warmer than you)... I stil get Oliver out for his walks... long fun walks on off the beaten path places.. hilly, rugged, pretty, fun.
Is your hubby gone for "sessions" this week?

Rintense, one FR poster (sorry forgot name) said that a democrat online said the President should not have gone to Daytone, he should have just phoned in the "Gentelman start your engines!" ROTFLOL

I had a good day, thanks..went to visit with my Dad this p.m.
It is very hard to see him going downhill so fast...
I am determined to make the best of it and to keep him happy..
I'm a grateful he is still with me so far..
I can either be sad that roses have thorns...
or I can be glad that the thorn bush has roses...

Actually we were at the 2001 Daytona 500. It was sooooo cool--till Dale E. got killed in the last lap.
They were there the next year and called us just as the race was beginning--we couldn't really talk, but my husb. did hear the cars go by at the start. Our seats were right at the start/finish line.

Yes, the Dems would like him to just "stay home" all the time, wouldn't they?
