The Vietnamese American newspapers here in Northern Virginia are running front page stories about Kerry, complete with the above-the-fold Newsmax.com Kerry/Fonda photo. Some papers include more Fonda photos on the jump pages.
They are calling Kerry "phan boi" (traitor) and "mat con ngua" (horseface), among other things.
Aside from the reality that zero Vietnamese Americans have ever heard of these alleged atrocities against Vietnamese civilians, there is a great deal of contempt for Kerry's behavior in VVAW.
Did his actions hurt any South Vietnamese? Well, since his actions accelerated our chaotic withdrawl from VN, and caused the Congress to not provide the promised military aid post-1973, I think you can safely assert that Kerry is indirectly responsible for a great deal of pain in South Vietnam. Pain which extends to this very day.
And in 2003 voted against additional funding for the war in Iraq.
A real patriot, I tell ya. /sarcasm
