I think the more telling point on her views:

So, she's leaving the opening for her to say that they have an open marriage if he ever gets caught. After all, she was going to maim the first one, but he was a Republican. Being married to a Democrat forces her to lower her standards.

I got a laugh at this reply. Still with these people you can never tell, maybe she really was laying a hint out there.
