There could be alot of reasons. Here in Texas if some Middle Eastern man yelled, "allah ak bar", in a crowded mall, about two hundred shopping housewives would whip out a 9mm and blow him away before he got the "ak" out.

Excellent!
Don't mess with true Americans.
To: Texasforever
And that concerns us how again? I don't care what they blow up as long as is it not here. FDR didn't have the balls to suggest a war as long as Bush and I am not on board as are many conservatives. His goal is the end of "terrorism" and that is just stupid. Might as well say he wants "evil" to end! Oh- wait some of his biggest supporters have wrote a book with that title? They are goint to "End Evil"? Real Christian and humble of them isn't it?
American troops are dying and being maimed every day for these IVY LEAGUE f^&*s and their "theories" in Iraq!
They already admitted, brazenly, that WMDs was just a fraus issue for this war.
I guess the GIs who died or were wounded thinking WMD was the reason were just idiots or fools to these assholes?
Contempt- Nothing but contempt for those that lead us and our President into this war!

Stop and think about it - after a surprise attack, then the learning curve for fighting on a different kind of battlefield - we've done pretty well.
1) our enemies are on the run or in hiding and
2) having difficulties recruiting and communicating and
3) their major attacks still focus on hijacking airliners.
Now I don't think we'll ever be safe from terrorism - we may still get hit a few times. One or two may be big. But I also get a sense we are nuetering these dogs in a way that will leave them very crippled.

You're a democrat.
I feel sorry for you.
What about Coventry?

Every time one of their ghouls shot at our planes patrolling the no-fly zone over Iraq (which they did, multiple times), the years they aided the slimes of the PLO of Abu Abbas and Abu Nidal, who wreaked havoc and cooperated with other terrorists against the United States, every time they refused to comply with sanctions, refused inspections, they threatened our allies in the region.
Hmmm...shooting at our guys in uniform, helping terrorists, and posing threats to our allies who provide us with vital resources. I'd say that's cause enough.
Oh, yeah, and his regime brutalizing 26 million people didn't hurt our cause, either.
As for Bush "misleading" the country, please research the Torricelli Principle, the changes implemented under DCI Woolsley, the 33% cut in our field agents, the increasing reliance on foreign intelligence and electronic intelligence, and Project Megiddio. As you will clearly see, Bush was reporting what he believed to be accurate information. If there were gaps in our intelligence, they were in place long before he got into the White House, and EVERYONE, including France and Germany, still believed Saddam had WMD in Iraq.
As for the troops in Iraq, they are doing a heck of a lot more, and changing more lives, than YOU are obviously giving them credit for. You may want to discount the tremendous beneficial impact they are having on that country, but THEY DON'T, and the overwhelming majority of IRAQIS DON'T, either.

Don't bother with this guy. He is mad because Saddam is no longer paying 20 grand per Palestinian suicide bomber.

He's a democrat.
If a democrat was in office (God forbid) he would be all for everything.
He is playing politics with soldiers and other lives.

Lib journalists are still trying to figure out that statement.
OK, if I know something that I don't know, then I don't know something I know. No, scratch that. If I don't know what I don't know, then I know what. Oh, hell.

If they can't find anything wrong then they must be covering up.
The intelligence on Iraq was all wrong but they can't even find out about Bush's guard records before they go accusing.
Seems they are doing what they are accusing others of.

I guess the GIs who died or were wounded thinking WMD was the reason were just idiots or fools to these assholes?...Contempt- Nothing but contempt for those that lead us and our President into this war! Sadly, the world is just not that big anymore. And this is not a cartoon world - your argument is simplistic. We went into Iraq to prevent Saddam from handing off WMDs like anthrax and VX Gas to Al Queda. No, we didn't find the WMDs themselves. Hopefully, Saddam destroyed them. Hopefully he didn't get the chance to hide them in Syria. Regardless, what we *did* find was WMD labs - processing equipment ready to be used at a moment's notice to spit out chemical and biological nightmares. You would have us believe that a drug raid that turns up no drugs was a fraud/farce/failure - despite the fact that we uncovered (and shutdown) a network of "laboratories". You really shouldn't be monday-morning-quarterbacking these guys. You can't even reach the chair :)

I still believe there's a connection of the Murrah building and terrorists other than McVeigh and Nichols. Nichols spent alot of time in the Phillipines where a more than a few terrorists hang out at.
