Brinker's no conservative. He doesn't usually talk politics all that much, but he had a pair of guest hosts one time who spent the entire show raving about what a wonderful thing the death tax is and how horrible it was that the evil republicans wanted to take all that money away from the government. The conversation got so bad, so idiotic, with NO dissent allowed on the show, that I called my local radio station and complained; not that they disagreed with me, but that they did it in such a way as to make for extremely boring listening.
Our local station is very conservative, so I don't know why they even carry that show if he is such a liberal. Maybe they can't find anything to fill that time slot. There is a money program in the afternoon that I like a lot better. I don't know why I didn't figure it out before that he is not on our side. Shame on me.
We have so many shows I like now that I don't even have a desire to watch tv any more. We've got Sean Hannity, Michael Reagan (I get a real charge out of his glib manner), Dr. Laura (well I can take her or leave her), 3 hours of Rush, the Satellite sisters, Dr. Dean (he's got some goofy ideas), and so on.
Sorry to the other posters I didn't keep my end of this conversation going but I got sidetracked and now it is late.
