Snowy Plover is a shore bird on the threatened species list.
The bird is only being used as an excuse to take control of Oregon beaches, take in more taxes (fees) and restrict people. It's an enviromentalist thing.

It's not an environmentalist thing. It's a control thing. The plover can easily share that beach with taxpayers. People who don't know wildlife are always amazed at how resilient they are, and plovers are no exception. Since it is a control thing, the environmentalists should be made to wear swastika armbands. They are, after all, Nazis.

I spoke with the commissioner this weekend, he felt the parks bureaucracy was after new fees (as in a beach tax), which is in direct conflict with Oregon's 1967 beach access law. Federal bureaucracies are also involved in pushing the agenda.
Also had info that the plover studies being used were junk science. Stated we really need to contact our representatives as Oregon Parks was going to ram this through in spite of opposition.
