The problem is, no way are the left and the media (same unit) going to let us get at the "issues". They know that they can't win more than thirty percent with a straight up discussion of the issues. Deceit is their only hope as they incrementalize us toward tyranny.

Well, it's supposed to be hard to get elected President. I don't think it should be any harder this time than it was in 2000.

I just don't trust these kind of issues. I mean, if both Kerry and this young lady came out and admitted they had sex, how many people would change their votes over it? And, which way? From beginning to end, this whole thing is ridiculous, IMO. I think it sucks in people who see it as some sort of a shortcut to victory as if we didn't have to concern ourselves any longer with actually appealing to voters on issues that matter. I think that would be a huge mistake. ;-)

I don't think people see it to a shortcut to victory. Quite the contrary. Kerry has a horrible record and that is what will finish him off. He may believe himself wrapped in the flag and medals, however, we remember the Kerry who viciously lied and maligned the troops still in Viet Nam.

For many of this, this is watching our prediction that Hillary will run this year at a brokered convention. I know many disagree with that.

Of course it will be issues that matter in the end, they always do. However, right now the media/left want something to fire up the Dem base who are not coming out in droves to support their candidates. While extolling the percentages of the wins, the media is neglecting telling everyone that the percentages are of smaller numbers of actual primary voters - the underreported story.
