"As a high-ranking (LT jg) officer, he knew that." Just a minor correction, a Navy Lieutenant (Junior Grade) is NOT a high ranking officer. He would be the next officer up from the lowest ranking officer, an Ensign. (Excluding warrant officers, who rank below Ensign)

Just a minor correction, a Navy Lieutenant (Junior Grade) is NOT a high ranking officer.Sorry, I should have included a sarcasm tag. But I do notice the media always leaves off the "jg" when talking about LT Kerry. That's sort of an undeserved promotion for him.
