As her blood sugar lowered, she would become increasingly irritable, obsessive/compulsive (everything had to be done one certain way), and irrational until something finally set her off, and she would go into a crying jag lasting up to 15 minutes until she fell asleep. Giving her fruit juice or soda would make her better immediately, which gave me the big clue as to what was going on.
