According to an article published in the Tehran Times, the office of U.S. Senator and leading Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry sent an email message to the Mehr News Agency.Whoa! Since security of computers up on the hill is questionable, let's not charge into an ambush brothers and sisters. Don't know that I'd consider the TT a credible source. However, I'd sure like to see the original e-mail withelectonic fingerprints and then have a search on on appropriate servers.

Maybe Imus should have been asking him about this instead of the intern?

Your right!
Extra marital fooling around is just about sex which is OK with DemocRATs especially if they are Senators Massachusetts who claim to worship in the Roman Catholic Church.
Of course consorting with the enemy doesn't seem to be a big deal with RATs either.

Personally, I think this letter, if his office admits authorship, is treasonous. But to the Democrats, what's a little treason in the quest for power? What a sad commentary on politics. There used to be Democrats with whom I disagreed, but respected. That's gone now. Those Democrats are either Republicans now, or have willingly driven off the cliff of reason.

Check out this tidbit from a thread on the same subject at littlegreenfootballs:
UPDATE: Kerrys office says that this email was sent to a list, and that someone from the Tehran Times subscribed to that list; it was not sent specifically to the mullahs, as the Tehran Times implied.
Put me down in the treasonous column!

Forget all his post-Vietnam antiwar activity. This is treasonous. Exactly. We must pull Kerry into THIS war...THIS century, and hold him to account.
We must focus on NOW...not Vietnam and not his bimbos.
Kerry's true record and "political philosophy" must be exposed. This should be the GOP agenda...and ours.

"If an enemy can use your statement, word-for-word, in its entirety, for propaganda purposes, then one is obliged to suspect that the statement is at odds with the national interest."
Well stated! I've also copied the letter to this thread in case it disappears.
Note the signatory printed in red.
A Letter for Democrats Abroad
As Americans who have lived and worked extensively overseas, we have personally witnessed the high regard with which people around the world have historically viewed the United States. Sadly, we are also painfully aware of how the actions and the attitudes demonstrated by the U.S. Government over the past three years have threatened the goodwill earned by Presidents of both parties over many decades and put many of our international relationships at risk.
It is in the urgent interests of the people of the United States to restore our country's credibility in the eyes of the world. America needs the kind of leadership that will repair alliances with countries on every continent that have been so damaged in the past few years, as well as build new friendships and overcome tensions with others.
We are convinced that John Kerry is the candidate best qualified to meet this challenge. Senator Kerry has the diplomatic skill and temperament as well as a lifetime of accomplishments in the field of international affairs. He believes that collaboration with other countries is crucial to our efforts to win the war on terror and make America safer.
An understanding of global affairs is essential in these times, and central to this campaign. John Kerry has the experience and the understanding necessary to successfully restore the United States to its position of respect within the community of nations. He has the judgment and the vision necessary to assure that the United States fulfills a leadership role in meeting the challenges we face throughout the world.
The current Administration's policies of unilateralism and rejection of important international initiatives, from the Kyoto Accords to the Biological Weapons Convention, have alienated much of the world and squandered remarkable reserves of support after 9/11. This climate of hostility affects us all, but most especially impacts those who reside overseas. Disappointment with current US leadership is widespread, extending not just to the corridors of power and politics, but to the man and woman on the street as well.
We believe John Kerry is the Democrat who can go toe-to-toe against the current Administration on national security and defence issues. We also remain convinced that John Kerry has the best chance of beating the incumbent in November, and putting America on a new course that will lead to a safer, more secure, and more stable world.
Please join us in supporting John Kerry as the Democratic nominee and help elect him the next President of the United States -- a President in whom Americans overseas can take pride.

This is real. Whinchime found this email and its site last week. Windchime was afraid it would go away! But now it is posted proudly on John Kerry's own campaign website at http://www.johnkerry.com/communities/aok/letter0206.html, A Letter for Democrats Abroad.
Some choice quotes:
....actions and the attitudes demonstrated by the U.S. Government over the past three years have threatened the goodwill...
...restore our country's credibility in the eyes of the world...
...respect within the community of nations...
...policies of unilateralism and rejection of important international initiatives...
...squandered remarkable reserves of support after 9/11...
Reserves of goodwill? In Old Europe and the world of Islam? Respect that we have earned one pint of blood at a time? Credibility we were losing by the year when we failed to respond to the Iranian hostage crisis, the Marine barracks bombing, and the USS Cole attack? Actions that have bolstered our strength and elicited troop deployments of dozens of Coalition countries, including our former enemy Japan?
I see not a lot has changed in 30 years.

Well now that it on their site, it should be forwarded to as many people as we can.
People will still fall into 3 categories in their feelings about the statements Kerry makes.
1)Right ON! Finally the truth!
2)Where is an industrial shredder we can use? Can I throw the switch?
3)You mean there is an election this year?

Ambassador Joseph Wilson Now, here's an interesting name!
To: F14 Pilot; Grampa Dave; risk
Sadly, we are also painfully aware of how the actions and the attitudes demonstrated by the U.S. government over the past three years have threatened the goodwill earned by presidents of both parties over many decades and put many of our international relationships at risk. Kerry, whom Giap credited with Communist victory in Vietnam, sees the liberation of fifty million oppressed people in two victorious wars of liberation as a defeat for the values he holds dear, those of Communism.
Kerry voted to cut every major defense program and to cut our intelligence by a billion dollars.
Kerry seeks to placate the tyrannical mullahs of Iran and undermine our commander in chief in time of war.
Kerry is a shoo-in. . . .for life at Leavenworth.
