Let there be no doubt that Teresa Heinz controls the Heinz family philanthropies. She is devoted to women's issues, environmentalism, head start, etc., and oversees the distribution of about $70 million annually. Since 1995 she has provided funds for Senate Fellowships in health which invariably are given to recipients who work on Senate Democrat staffs (the exception is one intern with Frist, the last endowment went for someone to help Hillary Clinton).

For those with the time or disposition to investigate her playtoy, see: http://www.hfp.heinz.org/index.html
