see War of Texas Independence, War of 1848

The Texas Revolution was in 1836. It was the Mexican-American War that occurred in 1848. I'm quite familiar with both. My current position is less than a quarter mile from the spot where General Zachary Taylor first camped south of the Nueces River.

Re: "(see War of Texas Independence, War of 1848, Pershing Expedition, and various Marine landings)."

Each point was offset by a comma, never intended to mix up Texas Independence and Texas Statehood, forbid it! I've heard it spoken of as the M-A War, or The War of 1848, don't know which is used most often. Still, War of 1848 is easier to write out.

My mother-in-law says it's been raining down in the valley for days. You all must be happy to see the drought leave.
