Much like the Kerry affair story. What do ya think the chances are the media's gonna give that one the same kind of scrutiny?I don't even care. Kerry's dead meat, just on his record. No scandals are needed. Edwards might have a bare chance of winning. Why give Lurch the bum's rush? Get him the nomination and let's throw down. And if the 'Rats keep slinging the dirt, that's fine too. They'll bury themselves with it.

Burkett has, in the past, raised his allegations about the Bush records as part of his personal struggle with the Guard over medical benefits.
For instance, in a 1998 letter to Texas state Senator Gonzalo Barrientos, Burkett complained that he had not received adequate medical care when he became seriously ill after returning from a mission to Panama.
He also said Guard officials had retaliated against him because he had conducted a management study critical of the Guard.
His "personal" struggle included a lawsuit he filed and was dismissed -- apealed -- and dismissed again.

FROM Morelaw.com
QUOTE:
Description: Bill Burkett, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Texas Army National Guard, brought a personal injury action against appellees, William Goodwin, Jackie Taliaferro, and Archie Meador, all of whom were his superior officers. (1) Burkett appeals from the trial court's order dismissing his lawsuit.
[SNIP] Burkett alleged that over the next four months Goodwin, Taliaferro and Meador willfully and maliciously refused to provide Dyess with clearance or confirmation of his duty status thereby denying him access to military medical care. Burkett alleged that these three individuals' conduct was "so completely beyond and outside any military authority or discretion as to have been outside the scope of military duty, outside any military duty, outside any military capacity, and not incident to military duty." Burkett alleged that they "acted purely as individuals, not as military officers, albeit pretending to have military authority and abusing their offices through such pretense in order to willfully and maliciously wreak havoc upon [Burkett's] life."

I suppose it makes sense to HIM that if he were trying to cover his tracks, he'd throw the evidence in the trash can for someone possibly to find, but it sure doesn't to me.

I DO wish the White House would quit keeping this alive by releasing stuff. It will never be enough. EXACTLY. That's probably why they (the White House) are doing it. They know there's nothing there, and the 'Rats insane pursuit of this issue makes them (the 'Rats, and their minions in the press) look rash, desperate and vicious. The public is starting to pay attention, and they are seeing the 'Rats true colors.
Keep feeding the controversy, I say, as long as the 'Rats are foolish enough to keep embarassing themselves with their unhinged behavior.

(CNN) -- A former officer in the Texas National Guard said Thursday he once overheard a conversation in which there was a request to sanitize President Bush's Guard records during Bush's tenure as Texas governor. (FRN) -- An anonymous Freeper on the Free Republic forum said Friday he once overheard a conversation in which the football team may have been discussing the "enthusiasm" of CNN reporterette Suzanne Malveaux the previous night. "She said I looked like President Clinton," said one player.

No need to investigate rape allegation against Clintoon. Credible allegations of perjury and rape by someone they like: defiantly not news worthy.
Human interest stories about some person using a fire arm to scare away muggers: Defiantly not news worthy.
Democrat "war-hero" nominee used to lead events with fake veterans who falsely accused real US veterans of obscene brutality: Defiantly not news worthy.
Thoroughly discredited and contradicted allegations against a Republican incumbent in an election year: Lead story.
People who think that the press is not liberally biased: very stupid.

But perhaps we need a complete investigation to get to the bottom of it. ;-)Yeah, and I can write a computer program that claims the Earth will warm up, or cool down, or whatever....where's my grant money?
Guess it doesn't pay to be on the honest side.

Forgot--evaluations were by local CO. I think the original went to the branch hq in Wash. and a copy in personnel folder.

(CNN) -- A former officer in the Texas National Guard said Thursday he once overheard a conversation in which there was a request to sanitize President Bush's Guard records during Bush's tenure as Texas governor...or was it really an attempt to create holes in Bush's record so that when he ran for president 'rats could raise the issue of whether he was AWOL during his service and no one could produce documents to prove he wasn't?........

When the gum disease story gets out there... Bush is toast. What about his library card records? If he had any overdue books, it's impeachment time!

""I'm not going to get in the mud. You know, this has become a political football," he told CNN"
Too late. He's already grabbed a fistful and slung it at the President.

I worked for the Public Affairs Office Tx Army Bational Guard in the summer of 2000. There were over 2 THOUSAND FOIA requests for the Presidents 201 file which IS still kept by the 49th PSB in Austin. Nothing was in there. I think the Military stupid among the "mainstream" media and this idiot LTC are mistaking the MPRJ whis is stored in St. Louis with his 201 file. The 201 file stays local and periodically old files are removed from them. Could be that this guy saw that happening and is turning it into something else.

Any conservative who stays home in Nov deserves the absolute worst. And if they stay home, they might get it. Amen! I'll go so far as to say that any conservative who stays home on Election Day or who votes for a third party candidate or a 'Rat is--given the blatant nature of the attack our country is suffering from the enemy withing--guilty of treason.
