GUN ISSUES: DemocRAT, Republican, and Texans

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock .40 and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

DemocRAT's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have an appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun and what kind of message does this send to society and my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

Texan's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
click...
(sounds of reloading).

Wife: "Sweetheart, he looks like he's still moving, what do you kids think?"

Son: "Mom's right Dad, I saw it too..."

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
click...

Daughter: "Nice group, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips?"

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!... click click click...

Daughter: Look, Pa! I think he just moved!

Pa: Are you sure?

Son: Best to be sure, Pa. Don't take any chances!

Pa, ( looks at wife and says, ) "Darlin? Hand me the other clip."

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!... click click click...

Now, now. The .50 AE has a rebated rim, and the picture you posted is not of the .50 AE. Looks like .480 Ruger, .475 Linebaugh, or .454 Casull.

Texan. Definately Texan.

I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

I'd have a better chance on the 12.

Oh, some of us Texans carry 6-shot revolvers, some of us carry mult-shot semi-automatics.

It's up to the criminals to guess if the sweet little old lady they want to rob and defile is packing a .45, a .38, and so on.

5 shot .50 AE

With one of those ultra-magnum guns, and proper shot placement, the conversation would be as follows:

BOOM!

Nothing follows except the inevitable paperwork and lawyer-isms.

"Until I can afford it I guess I will have to make by with my old S&W Model 19 .357"

No finer made than the wife's Mod. 19. Well, maybe after my beat up old (1943 Remington Rand) 1911A1 .45 ACP which is the greatest close up battle weapon ever, bar none.

OK, we've got the classic oxymoron here. What's wrong with this premise: "expert shot" plus "democrat?"

Yes!!! You win 1000 points!!! That is not possible in this quantum universe. Even Schrodenger's cat understands that.
