Call me crazy now

You're crazy.

In case you hadn't noticed, the first amendment specifically prohibits congress from passing any law restricting the free exercise of religion. A constitutional amendment banning a religion will not happen.

I am well aware that the Constitution allows free exercise of religions, apparently only as long as they are NOT Christianity BTW, Ha Ha, ...

But the judges could ban Islam overnight, just as quickly as they legalized gay marriage. A charismatic President, like FDR was, could grab the Muslims just as quickly as FDR did the Japanese. But I only mildly said that I thought the Consitution might be amended. Just how much terrorism do you think Muslims would have to do in the USA, before this option were considered?

There is also possibly, the option of doing what the New York state supremes did already in 1892, and say that the freedom-of-religion provisions referred only to the legitimate and normal religions at the time and place... [that is, of course, basically just Christianity and Judaism...] and specifically banned Islam, Buddhism, various tribal and voodoo, animist etc cults and supposed table tippers, new agers, spiritualist cults, and who knows whatever as no more than fortune tellers and necromancers etc-- calling them all PRETENDED religions, and outlawing them.

Whether one is for or against such ideas, they certainly will come in as our liberties continue to erode, the only question is how fast and who will be the primary target.

In my example I spoke of Islam. It is probably more likely that Christianity will be the first religion banned.
