promise that the next time I post something I will do it the way everyone likes it. :) Impossible. Someone will always find something to complain about... but I salute your bravery for jumping into the fray!

I promise that the next time I post something I will do it the way everyone likes it. :) That will never happen. About the only thing everyone here ever agreed on was that Clinton had to go :-}
To: Vermonter
i'm sure we can agree that Bush has spent too much money.

Nope. *g*

Shouldn't you include Focault Pendulum whenever you direct someone to that post? Or does that fall under the realm of 'cruel and unusual punishment'?

Oh, Hell. Do it so everyone gets a kick or gets to kick you around. So much more interesting to drive everyone nuts.

I'm glad I can amuse everyone today. I'll be sure to misspell things or "forget" to add information next time just so everyone has something to complain about. (as if there isn't enough to complain about these days) :)

Thats a classic.
I remember my 1st new thread post. It was an Article by Ann Coulter and public schools.
Nearly Half the people didnt agree with the point so ive been mooching off other peoples threads since.
Just everyone replying to me as the author was too much to keep up with.
This new freeper has a thick skin and will go far.

"What really irritates me about flying these days is those infernal carry-ons that people insist upon toting on-board with them. What is it with that? Why can't they just check their luggage like normal folk?"
1. It eats 20 minutes at the arrival terminal, more on some flights, not to mention earlier arrival at the departure terminal to check the luggage. If you are flying international with connections, it can be even worse, i.e. missed connections.
2. Some things are not meant to be thrown 6-feet or more. Camera lenses, laptops, other fragile items, are not going to be reimbursed by the airline at a fair value.
""And what is it with the people who insist upon standing up in the aisle as soon as the plane gets to the gate? What's the big hurry? You know it's going to take a few minutes for the gate people to secure the gate to the airplane and get the door open. Yet these people insist on standing up in the aisles, looking like the dorks that they are. Why can't they just calmly remain seated (as I do) and read their damn books? What I do, is I purposely stay seated until everybody is off the plane. ""
They could have
1. A tight connection
2. No baggage to pick up, thus their exit from the plane speeds their exit from the airport
3. Somewhere to be asap, or something to avoid (i.e. rush hour traffic, etc)
4. A desire to be off the plane as soon as possible for other reasons.
""Oh yeah, and I have a message for all the mothers who insist upon taking their young ones on the plane with them. Your children are NOT cute. Instead, they are an annoyance to me and you really should keep them seated and quiet for the duration of the flight."
I wouldn't mind seeing no children under 5 or whatever the no-cry age is in, or put them in a special section. Flying next to a loud young child is torture if they are in a bad mood.

That's good but I thought the Head of AA was caught drinking again... In this day and age that statement could go towards either AA...

I will post but I try not to post breaking news items from Drudge or the like. Someone else will post those again and if I post them overnight, they often will be bumped from the sidebar before anyone can read them anyway.
An account to just post articles (say weegee2) would keep you or me from being pinged on every response to an editorial/article.
